ISO 22000 FOOD AND SAFETY

The monitoring of the entire food supply chain has become of paramount importance, especially in the role it plays in gaining customer confidence. We assess companies involved in all stages of the food supply chain.  From producers of raw materials and animal feed, to caterers and food manufacturers, the transportation companies, right up to retailers.  We then either align current systems to, or develop and implement,  an internationally recognized food safety system.

In structure and content, ISO 22000 is based on the requirements of a QMS as outlined in ISO 9001:2000 and is extended to include the HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Contol Point) principles. HACCP is a management system in which food safety is addressed through the analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material production, procurement and handling, to manufacturing, distribution and consumption of the finished product.

PROCESS SAFETY MANAGEMENT

Unexpected releases of toxic, reactive, or flammable liquids and gases in processes involving highly hazardous chemicals have been reported for many years, in various industries using chemicals with such properties. Regardless of the industry that uses these highly hazardous chemicals, there is a potential for an accidental release any time they are not properly controlled, creating the possibility of disaster.

The Process Safety Management (PSM) of Highly Hazardous Chemicals standard contains requirements for the management of hazards associated with processes using highly hazardous chemicals.

PSM is addressed in specific standards for the general and construction industries. OSHA’s standard emphasizes the management of hazards associated with highly hazardous chemicals and establishes a comprehensive management program that integrates technologies, procedures, and management practices, to help ensure safe and healthful workplaces.

GDP COMPLIANCE (PHARMACEUTICAL)

Good Distribution Practice (GDP) is that part of quality assurance which ensures products are consistently stored, transported and handled under suitable conditions as required by the marketing authorisation (MA) or product specification.
